S.Africa: Blacks almost beat a Black criminal to death

[I thought it would be good to show people outside South Africa how Black people feel about criminals within their own ranks. This sort of thing is relatively common in South Africa and one can find many examples in the media of this. The following story, and photo illustrate a number of pertinent points.

Firstly, Blacks are sick and tired of crime committed by other Blacks. Secondly, Blacks feel that the Law is too weak, and so they make use of kangaroo courts, or as in this case, they just fight back and punish the criminals on the spot. This can be exceedingly violent. Blacks in South Africa have been known to cut rapist's penises off - on the spot.

In this case, I actually agree with the actions taken by the Blacks. I feel that often when they take the law into their own hands, they are doing a better job of it than the limp wrist of our Law. Our legal system has been so softened by the ANC-dominated Govt that the law is heavily in favour of the criminal.

Thirdly, there is also an ominous side to this. I have heard Blacks and Whites having discussions about the legal system and the need to punish criminals - and during such conversations Blacks have expressed the view that criminals need to be "forgiven". It appears to me, that when you have a case of Black criminals stealing from or killing Whites then the Black attitude is "forgive them". But when Black criminals steal from, rape or kill other Blacks - Blacks bay for their blood - and sometimes they even kill them on the spot. So it appears to me that Blacks have a hypocritical attitude to crime depending on whether Whites or Non-Whites are the victims.

As I have said on many occasions: When justice occurs in South Africa it is normally:- (a) By accident (b) Was not carried out by our legal system! This is such an example. This guy was beaten up and even stabbed. If the Police did not intervene - he would have been dead.

This incident took place in the Joubert Park area, which is next to the Johannesburg railway station - in the centre of Johannesburg. Jan]

Bloody Lesson for a Thug!

(By: JONATHAN MANGENA)

THIS GUY turned to crime - and angry neighbours taught him a lesson he will NEVER forget!

He was part of a gang of six which stormed into a block of flats to rob residents.

BUT THE RESIDENTS STRUCK BACK!

Five of the robbers ran for their lives. The sixth had the living daylights beaten out of him by the crowd which caught him on the steps of the flats near Joubert Park, central Joburg, on Saturday night.

The bloodied thug was taken to hospital under police guard.

The angry crowd, who shouted that they had had enough, also beat up a security guard - they said the guards let the thugs through the barriers. He was also taken to hospital.

The would-be robber's life was saved by the cops as angry residents beat him with chairs and clubs. He was even stabbed in the uproar.

Residents said the six armed men stormed into one flat at about 11.30pm and tied up the three people. They robbed them of R1,000, a cellphone and some DVDs. They also assaulted them with guns.

THEN THE NEIGHBOURS TOOK THEIR REVENGE...
One resident told Daily Sun: "If you do not have an access card, security guards will not allow you to go in through the safety barriers. So I do not know why they allowed these men to pass through. We are not safe any more," he said.

  • Joburg Police Captain Schalk Borman said assault and theft cases were being investigated.
