| | Africa Addio: (Africa Blood & Guts) Special 06: The Animal Harvest.
(You can download and view the video footage of this in the video section)
You have to see this to believe it...
The documentary shows clearly how under British Colonial rule, Game Reserves (wilderness areas)
were set up in which no people, not even blacks, were allowed to go to disturb the animals.
The animals thrived.
But when the blacks took over these rules were changed. The black governments decided that
these game reserves were "unproductive land" and so they ordered the Game rangers, both black
and white to "harvest" the animals. They then slaughtered animals in quantities that boggle
the mind, until hardly anything was left.
Then, to hide these uncomfortable facts from the tourists, they blew up whatever large
carcasses lie around. There are some bizarre scenes where you will see vultures feeding on
a carcass and then the carcass is blown up with dynamite!
It should not surprise anyone that the callousness of blacks towards animals has resulted in
most of the major species of animals in Africa today being close to, or heading towards
EXTINCTION!!
Its time to stock the butcheries... The Government orders the game wardens (black and white)
to "harvest" the animals... The buck falls down dead…

| | The bullet hits…

ABG_SP06_03.JPG |
| | The elephant starts to collapse... its hind quarters going down first…
|
| |
ABG_SP06_04.JPG |
| | The elephant is facing the camera. Behind it are trees. Look carefully in the
direction of the arrow. The bullet has just struck the elephant's head.
There is a spray of blood, etc exploding directly above the elephant's
head. It forms a mist of blood…

| | Even hippos aren't safe... a bullet strikes near a hippo's head in the water...
The rifle barrel can be seen in the left of the photo…
|
| |
ABG_SP06_06.JPG |
| | The hippo writhes in the water as it dies. It is on its back with its feet in the air…
|

ABG_SP06_07.JPG |
| | This photo is actually quite unbelievale and you have to see the film footage
to appreciate it. The carcass of a large animal is covered in vultures feeding
on its flesh. It is dynamited. If you look carefully you can make out the shapes
of the vultures as many of them are blown into the air by the explosion!!
This was done to hide the horrors of the "Animal Harvest" from those naive
tourists from Europe and America!! Can't let them know what is really going on
in the game reserves - which are among the largest in the world!!
|
| |
ABG_SP06_08.JPG |
| | As the force of the blast continues, shattering the carcass to bits, you can make
out the shapes of some of the vultures. Many fly away…
|
| |
ABG_SP06_09.JPG |
| | Kaboom!! Another carcass is dynamited! Flesh, bone and vultures go flying... (Gotta hide this
from the rich white Western tourists!!)
|
| |
ABG_SP06_10.JPG |
| | As the dust settles we see some vultures survived and managed to fly away from their
disturbed meal…
|
| |
ABG_SP06_11.JPG |
| | Don't worry, there are a handful of hippos left in the water... these are the skeletons
of the many who won't be returning…
|
| |
ABG_SP06_12.JPG |
| | And more jawbones of deceased hippos... To truly appreciate the extent of the "bone yards"
you have to see the film footage... it goes on and on…

| | It was really the White Colonialists, who should be thanked for the
great Game Reserves of the African continent. In fact, the first, and possibly the largest
game reserve was set up by the Boer President Kruger.
It should not surprise you that since the whites have gone that Africa's ecology has been
systematically destroyed and now most of the animals are on the verge of extinction.
Since those days, whites have worked tirelessly, against great odds to prevent the total wipe out
of Africa's game by blacks. Blacks, driven by poverty and desperation of their own creation,
coupled with black governments who couldn't give a hoot about the animals, have been responsible
for the ecological disaster which Africa has become.
