Africa Addio: (Africa Blood & Guts) Special 03: 10,000 Blacks hunting with spears.
This is a special excerpt from Africa Adio. (You can also see the stills for this special excerpt in the Photo Gallery).

The documentary shows clearly how under British Colonial rule, Game Reserves (wilderness areas) were set up in which no people, not even blacks, were allowed to go to disturb the animals. The animals thrived.

But when the blacks took over these rules were changed. Hunting by anyone, and everyone was then allowed. In this excerpt, we see blacks killing every animal in sight. In this piece, 10,000 blacks surround an area almost the size of Rhode island and then proceed to kill every animal they come across. They kill everything from buck to elephants using spears.

The killing of the elephants is particularly sad. You will see the elephants using their trunks to take spears out of their bodies. A spear goes into the elephant's eye. Eventually the elephant dies from blood loss.
