| | Africa Addio: (Africa Blood & Guts) Special 03: 10,000 Blacks hunting with spears.
(You can download and view the video footage of this in the video section)
The documentary shows clearly how under British Colonial rule, Game Reserves (wilderness areas)
were set up in which no people, not even blacks, were allowed to go to disturb the animals.
The animals thrived.
But when the blacks took over these rules were changed. Hunting by anyone, and everyone was
then allowed. In this excerpt, we see 10,000 blacks surrounding an area the size of Rhode
island. They are armed with spears and they kill everything in their path.
Here we see a buck falling to the ground, with spears sticking out of his sides. These
are his last agonising seconds of life...

| | Blacks armed with spears everywhere... they form a huge circle around the animals... and kill them
as they try to escape…

| | This buffalo has several spears sticking out of him. His last minutes are particularly
sad to watch. He charges at them with spears sticking out of him... until finally he
collapses…

| | The Elephant's death is extremely sad to watch. You can see two spears in the elephant.
Another is flying through the air towards it…

| | I find this particularly touching. The elephant reaches with its trunk
and pulls a spear out of its body. The elephant does this a couple of
times. Elephants are highly intelligent, and you will see it in this
excerpt…
