Here we see something on a lighter note. It shows a white vet with some black helpers
trying to save an elephant that was badly wounded. I found this little piece with its
"Animal Blood Bank" and the blood transfusion for an elephant rather quaint. It shows
the better side of humanity.
In the documentary, it shows how the Wild Life Society, run by whites tried to save
what animals they could. Its one of the luckier elephants that managed to survive.
The video excerpt is cute to watch and is pretty small to
download. They literally use a pump to pump blood into the elephant. The curious
(intelligent) elephant plays around with them.
Believe it or not, they had an "Animal Blood Bank" with blood for wild animals...
