Namibia: Eviction Notice for White Commercial Farmers

The Government of Namibia has suddenly decided after 14 years of independence, to start evicting White Commercial Farmers. In recent months, "Land Reform Experts" from Zimbabwe have been travelling to Namibia. This is the result of their work. Mugabes filth is now spreading to its next target, as predicted by many of us, years ago.

In Mugabes own book, "Inside the Third Chimurenga", he makes it clear that he wants to spread his concepts to the rest of Africa. "Land Reform" being the concept he is most keen to export to all of Africa.

Namibia has 4,500 White Commercial farmers. Zimbabwe had about 4,400 White Commercial farmers four years ago - less than 400 are now left. NB: An important fact about the White Zimbabwean farmers is that 80% of them BOUGHT their land after Independence in 1980. Even so, they were thrown off it. Namibia is largely a semi-desert country with most farming being done with cattle as opposed to crops. Namibias total population is about 2 million, of which 120,000 are white.

Germany, the former colonial power, has helped Namibia at every twist and turn during its 14 years of independence and has ploughed a lot of money into Namibia. In spite of generous help from the Germans, Namibia is now following Mugabes lead.

The Namibian government said they would take farms that were (a) Unused (b) Belonged to foreigners. However, it appears that virtually none of the first dozen eviction notices issued apply to either of the above groups. Instead, it is aimed at farms which are locally owned by whites and are currently in use.

According to Namibian law, if the farmer responds by stating how much his farm is worth, the government can make a counter offer of less - and he has no choice but to accept the government offer.

As has been amply proven in Zimbabwe - destroying the White Commercial farmers, doesnt solve any problems - it only makes things worse. Inflation is now over 600%, unemployment has shot up to 70% and half the population survives on UN food aid (whereas before, Zimbabwe was an exporter of food!). When 100 White Commercial farmers from Zimbabwe moved to Zambia, they caused its maize (corn) production to be doubled in the first year they were there. They are now also producing tobacco which is earning Zambia large amounts of foreign currency. They produced more maize than 150,000 black peasants. Yet, despite all these facts, Namibia is now set to follow in the footsteps of Zimbabwe.

Expect South Africa to follow suit.

The following image was sent to me from a friend in Namibia. It shows the letters which have been sent to the first unlucky farmers who will now lose their land.
