Robert van Tonder Pioneer of the Boer State Idea
Robert van Tonder was a Boer billionaire whose farmland later became the city of Randburg. He founded the Boer State Party and, in the 1990s, took the Afrikaner cause to the United Nations, seeking international recognition for an Afrikaner state. Bold, visionary, and largely forgotten, Van Tonder was decades ahead of his time.
