In June 2023 Black African leaders tried to go to Ukraine and Russia claiming that they would help to make peace. In reality, they were extremely concerned about the lack of wheat they would be able to buy from Russia and Ukraine due to the war in the Black sea. The Blacks in Africa are useless at producing food and they import a lot of food. It was at this time that a Ukrainian Government Minister said that the Blacks had really only come in order to beg for food and also to spy for Russia. It is true that most Black African nations are big supporters of Russia, including the South African Government. The Ukrainian official said the Blacks should not interfere in European politics that they don't understand.



Here are the details of the Ukrainian Government Minister who said this. Mykhailo Podolyak serves as a senior adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Over time, he has drawn widespread criticism for a series of controversial public statements regarding foreign leaders and neutral nations. In June 2023, a delegation of African heads of state, led by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, traveled to Kyiv to present a ten-point peace plan. Podolyak quickly dismissed their mediation efforts in public interviews. He stated that African leaders had neither the capability nor the power to get involved in matters they knew nothing about, adding that European security was beyond their understanding. He went on to accuse the diplomatic mission of being nothing more than a fishing expedition meant to gather information for Russia.Just three months later, in September 2023, Podolyak triggered another wave of heavy backlash during an interview addressing non-aligned powers across the Global South, specifically targeting India and China.



Despite his racial statements he is still serving in his position in the Ukrainian Government.
